Location:

Langwarrin is an outlying district which is situated in the country Australia. Langwarrin postcode is 3910 and the Langwarrin Geolocation is Latitude: -38.160898611111 and Longitude: 145.19278361111. Its exact location takes it to the capital city Melbourne. The total distance of Langwarrin from the central business district of Melbourne is almost 42 kilometers. Frankston is regarded as its government area.

According to the population census of 2016 carried out in the town, the total population was numbered to be 22, 588. Talking about its sides, the northern portion of the town is covered by the Valley road, while on the eastern side you will find the Dandenong Hastings road.  Coming to the west, this part of the town consists of Mornington Peninsula Freeway and the southern portion is home to the McClelland.

History:

In the year 1889, right after the Stony Point railway arrived in the town; the people of Langwarrin saw the opening of two separate post offices, as well as two other railway stations. The name of the first railway station was Langwarrin railway station which was inaugurated on the 9th of September 1889, and the other one is Langwarrin far from the railway and this was opened in the year 1889 26th September.

Langwarrin office was closed down in the year 1893 due to some issues, while the name of the other station was changed from Langwarrin railway station to Langwarrin, in the year 1913 as supported by the government.

Infrastructure:

The town has been constructed in such a way that the people living here have a good access to the areas inside the city. The routes which provide access towards the city include the Western port highway, Monash freeway, and South Gippsland highway.

With a huge help taken from the prevailing housing scheme, there has been a certain level of widening done to the Cranbourne Frankston road which goes from east to west and serves as a two-lane carriageway. This widening has been done in order to cater to the needs of the increasing population.

There are a lot of parks and recreational places in the town which include the Langwarrin stake park, Lloyd Park, Langwarrin beach as well as the Cruden Farm. The total number of shopping centers in the town is two, which are famous. One is called the Gateway shopping village while the other is named as the Langwarrin plaza shopping Centre.
